Betliar mansion and related museum reside in the exceptional park. Exposure in Betliar mansion is focused on residential life and culture of the Hungarian nobility in the 18th and 19th century. It was created from original furniture and art collections of several members of the noble family Andrássy, who lived here in the past.

After extensive reconstruction of the mansion, which was completed in 1994, a new museum exhibition was established on the interior surface of 2308 m². It is situated in the ground floor rooms, first and second storey of the mansion and consists of nearly 50 residential rooms, multiple communications (stairways, hallways, corridors) and utility rooms (8 bathrooms, wardrobe, work rooms, archive).

Exposure scenario Housing culture of the aristocracy in the 18th and 19 century has been adapted to the authentic interior arrangement and original thematic use of it by the former owners.

Betliar mansion is set in a beautiful historic park, a walk throug which is a great experience. Natural Park has an area of ​​57 hectares and was built between 1792 to 1795 thanks to the initiative of Count Leopold Andrassy. The founder of the park is considered significant horticulturalist empire period of French origin Henrich Nebbien.

Since 1978 Betliar mpark is included in the UNESCO list of artistically and culturally valuable parks of the world. It is the subject to basic principles of conservation and restoration of monuments which have been agreed upon and formulated internationally by the Venice Charter, in force since 1964, which is supplemented in specialized area in the field of historic gardens by the Florence Charter of 1981.

Natural Park together with the mansion belongs since 1985 to national monuments registered in the Central Register of monuments of Slovak Republic.

In the mansion park area besides rare plant species, unique artificial water system can be found, which consists of a set of water grooves, leading water from Krivý stream into three lakes, three fountains and so called Great Waterfall, the largest of its kind in Slovakia. Come and take a walk!
