Cave Domica is probably the most famous cave in the Slovak Karst - the area lying in south part of Slovakia near the Hungarian border. Visit the cave during your vacation and you surely will not regret it.

Domica is part of a large cave system, much of which lies in hungarian territory, where it is called Baradla. This whole karst area includes other Slovak caves and is also registered on the UNESCO list.

Domica cave was excavated by the underground river called Styx and recently it was possible to raft this small cave river. Cruises are not possible, however, for several years as Styx dried up. This attraction is gone, but it is still compensated by the beauty of underground nature.
