If you decide to visit Harmanecká cave, you'll find it in the valley of Harmanec northwest of Banská Bystrica, in the southern part of Veľká Fatra mountain range.
The entrance of the cave is on the north side of Kotolnica 260 m above the valley bottom. Access to Harmanecká Cave is possible from the parking place on State Road Harmanec - Turčianske Teplice.
The entrance can be reached after about 40 minutes of walk along the information trail. Guided tour with a length of 1020 m is available to the visitors.
Regarding cave decorations, cave is mostly known byt he occurrence of white soft sinter. Attractive are also massive pagoda-like stalagmites, waterfalls and lakes. In the so-called Great Dome are located two pagodas 12 m high with a diameter of 3 m.
Cave fauna of Harmanecká Cave represent several bat species that occur here in relatively large numbers.
