Protected Landscape Area Biele Karpaty lies on the Czech - Slovak border. The highest peak is Veľká Javorina - 970 m. The most important peaks include Veľký Lopeník and Vršatec. Biele Karpaty have been since 1996 on the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve list.
