If you choose, during a holiday in Slovakia, visit of Strážov hills, you will certainly be satisfied especially with the natural beauty of this part of Slovakia.  Strážov hills are located in the western part of central Slovakia.

This mountain range has a varied geological structure and builds basins and separate mountain ranges, which creates quite a good basis for a nice hiking in the nature.

The highest peak, often visited by tourists, is 1213 m high Strážov. Significant peaks are also Vápeč, Hrubá Kečka, Vlčinec. Strážov hills are covered with mixed forests.

In Strážov there is a network of hiking trails that lead through well preserved natural landscape of forests and vast meadows. Viewpoints of the main peaks are very impressive. Interesting targets during your holiday in Slovakia can be Mojtínsky karst, or village Čičmany, where the reservation of folk architecture is located, with characteristic wooden houses and a ski center, but also ruin of Uhrovec Castle in Uhrovské Podhradie.
