The Western Tatras offer many tourist attractions such as valleys - Roháčska, Žiarska, or Jamnická Valley. The most popular hiking trail is the main ridge of Western Tatras. This is a fairly challenging alpine crossing, which is, extremely attractive both in summer and winter. However there is partial seasonal closure during winter.

Directly on the main ridge of Western Tatras there is no cottage or hut located on it, so you can be sure not spending a cent. It is an ideal combination of low cost, but rich holiday experience. Western Tatras ridge offers an incredibly beautiful scenery, however it is a demanding hike.

Western Tatras offer besides hiking as well skiing opportunities. The main centers include the village Podbanské, Zuberec and Pribylina.
