Museum of Ján Kollár in Mošovce is the original place where stood the birth house of Ján Kollár. At the municipal fire, in 1863, residential part of the house burned. Preserved remained only the granary, which since 1983 has served as a memorial room.

In 2009 began the reconstruction of J. Kollárs birhtplace, which would be a replica of the original house. In August 2010, a new section of the exposition was opened to the public. Museum exhibition was created with the assistance of the Administration Office in Mošovce and Slovak National Literary Museum in Martin. Writer and curator of the museum exposition is Mgr. Joseph Beňovský.

Entry to the exhibition begins in the original granary, where visitors can see what this space was previously used for (storage of the crops, vegetables and fruits, tools etc.)

From this part the visitor gets through the newly built doors into the next section, where in the right part is located small kitchen with contemporary drawings of Ján Kollárs birthplace by Ján Bibza. On the left side is located a panel that captures Ján Kollárs life from birth, studies to clerical work in the German Lobeda. Panel includes variety of Kollárs memmories on his younger years of life and different editions of books and promotional material binding to Mošovce.

Another room depicts the work of Ján Kollár from the first edition of Poems of Ján Kollár, Daughter of Fame from 1824 and 1832 and works of literary reciprocity to sermon works. In this section you can find books and material monuments, which donated to the museum great-grandson of Jín Kollár Gerald Schnabelrauch. The panel part is concluded by Ján Kollárs work in Budapest during 1819-1849.

The last room reflects the most recent period of Ján Kollárs life in Vienna, his death and burial and transport of his remains to Prague in 1904. To year 1863 are commected photos of the visit of great-granddaughter of Ján Kollár in Mošovce at the unveiling of a statue of Ján Kollár a work by Fraňo Štefunko in the Mošovce square. The room is completed by contemporary table and chairs, urban carved chests from 1862, a bust of Melniczky, which was in 1983 donated to Mošovce by great-granddaughter of Ján Kollár - Ľudmila.

There are as well installed biographies and bibliographies of Ján Kollár, later releases of his works and publications about him. Works of Oľga Kryslová, Dušan Kuzma, watercolor by Jaroslav Vodrážka and Miroslav Bartoš complete the atmosphere of the contemporary period of Mošovce and Turiec region.
