Visit during your holiday in Slovakia Protected area Pieninské Limes. This area can be found on the bank Dunajec tiver in the National Cultural Monument - Červený Kláštor monastery.
Protected area was declared in 1972 and by the natural decrease the number of the limes reduced from the original 22 to 18 pieces. Some of the old lime trees reach circumference around 600 cm.
For their age and size the limes gained great price and require adequate protection provided to them also in the form of special treatment.
