Open-air Museum Vychylovka (Museum of Kysuce Village) offers a number of buildings of folk architecture. There is also an important technical sight located here - narrow-gauge forest railway, which in the past connected Kysuce and Orava regions.

The railway operates daily except Monday: Tuesday to Friday - diesel train, Saturday and Sunday - steam train. The ride can be realized with at least 10 candidates.

Museum of Kysuce village in Vychylovka is open seasonally from June 1 to October 31, so you can plan your visit during your next holiday in Slovakia.

Visitors can get here by car or by bus. From Highway Žilina-Čadca you must take direction Krásne nad Kysucou to Nová Bystrica - Vychylovka. By train it is possible to get to Čadca railway station and from there a bus links towards Vychylovka.

The open-air museum Vychylovka offers guided tours with expert commentary. Visitors can buy souvenirs, promotional materials of the museum and the railway as well. You can refresh yourself in a local tavern. They offer traditional folk specialties even directly in home expositions (meals called kapustniaky, podlesniaky)
