Skansen Humenné is part of Vihorlat Museum. This museum is open from May to October. Skansen is located about 300 meters from Vihorlat Museum, which is located nearby Renaissance mansion, northeast of the Park Mieru in city centre of Humenné.
Photographing and video taking is allowed. There are as well lectures and guided tours possible here. Souvenirs and various promotional materials are offered in the museum. Meals and snacks are available in Humenné.
The open-air museum organizes frequently performances of authentic folklore and slovak cultural tradition. Shows performed by various folk groups of children and adults as well as folk music performances are offered. Of course there are also examples of folk craft techniques and manufacturing processes.
