Tatranská Javorina is the northernmost settlement od High Tatras. It lies at the mouth of Javorová dolina valley. Originally it was a mining settlement, which was developed by K. Hohenlohe. His seat was a local hunting lodge, which stands today at Hotel Kolowrat. Prince Hohenlohe was buried in a tomb at local church. Nearby Tatranská Javorina lies border crossing and the starting point for tours into the Bielovodská dolina valley- Lysá Poľana.
